It sounds like 'Neer dosa' from the kannadiga kitchen :-)ServesYouRighthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13466022858238391453noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7771055456905797482.post-4013961206406539682006-12-06T16:32:00.000-05:002006-12-06T16:32:00.000-05:00That is such an unusual dish for me. Both ripe and raw jackfruit are used.

Confession - I bought a canned version. You can tell if its raw or ripe jackfruit by the color, ripe is yellow and raw is green. You can also make appas / appams with bananas. Will post links to recipes using bananas.

Keep those recipes coming!!
SmitaServesYouRighthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13466022858238391453noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7771055456905797482.post-31649992336337407412006-11-20T21:36:00.000-05:002006-11-20T21:36:00.000-05:00those look great! sounds like your experimentation...those look great! sounds like your experimentation paid off.

i have to say i have never tasted jackfruit though i have seen it often in cans. is there anything north american you can compare it to?burekaboy —https://www.blogger.com/profile/03880933508314903583noreply@blogger.com
